Ok, so after playing around with Disqus after some of the other bloggers started using it, I decided that I wanted to use it for comments here.  I really like the threading and social aspects of it, and you can edit your comments too!
I also like the fact that once you authenticate, you can comment on any other Disqus community blog without having to log in again.  So if you don’t already have a Disqus account, go create one to get started; and leave a comment!

If you’ve ever needed to use a foreshortened diameter dimension in your drawings, you’ve likely ran into issues getting them to show up.  Maybe it’s just me, but the Help doesn’t give you much to go on…all you get is “When you drag a diameter dimension to another drawing view, and the software detects that the dimension will be too large for the drawing view, the dimension is automatically foreshortened.”  That’s all well and good, but that doesn’t tell you everything.

The SolidWorks 2009 site is now live at http://www.solidworks.com/2009.  So head on over there and check it out.  There are videos on a lot of the new features, including SpeedPak, sketch and drawing enhancements, Simulation bolt & pin check, and the improved plastics capability.

The SolidWorks World 2009 site is now live!  If you register before October 10, 2008, you can take advantage of the biggest early-bird discount of $200 off the regular $995 full conference fee.
There are several important links there, including the Boss’s Justification letter.  The justification letter can give you several tools to help your cause in getting to SolidWorks World.
